Reunion Gathering

Welcome Home!

Just a few days ago I shared that to truly appreciate something you need to be deprived of it to understand its true value. At that moment we were talking about showers and food choices. Now that we are home we are reacquainted with some of the luxuries that we have gone without for a week like our own beds, bathrooms, and cars and now we see these items with new eyes.

My eyes stared with amazement at how wonderful you embraced challenges and goals. Whether it was making a child at kids club smile or painting a house. I saw pure joy through smiles and the look of accomplishment and satisfaction all over your face. The community formed on mission trips is priceless and I will never forget the long bus ride, happy fun notes and the senior send off.

When you share something as meaningful and sacred as this trip we need to gather again to rekindle the memories and share pictures from the trip.

REUNION GATHERING

Monday, August 5, 2019

Youth Room/ Feed My Starving Children

7:30-10:00pm

Also the deadline for the one-page reflection paper is due on Monday, August 5, 2019.

Please email it as an attachment to jdunn@annunciationmsp.org. Please write REFLECTION PAPER in the subject line. SAVE it on your computer in case I cannot open the file. It should be ONE FULL PAGE (NO MORE NO LESS) I know computer tricks. Use 10 or 12 font size for your paper (Single spacing). USE SPELL CHECK before emailing your paper. Remember this will be a published document and nothing inappropriate should be included. If you are unable to attend the reunion it is your responsibility to turn in your reflection paper on time. The sooner you start writing the better as memories fade quickly and you have a powerful story to tell.

Here are some ideas:

  • How were you the light of Christ? or Where did you see the light of Christ?
  • What impacted you the most? What are you bringing home from the trip?
  • What long lasting effects will this trip have on your life?
  • What did you learn or discover about yourself while on the trip?

Peace,

Jimmy Dunn
