Dear Friends,

As a graduate of Catholic schools and the parent of an Annunciation graduate, I welcome you to this web site.

Visitors to Annunciation School often mention to me that there is a spirit that they can feel as soon as they set foot in the door. They are struck by the hospitality, good will and energy that they experience. Faculty, students, parents and volunteers working together create this positive environment where mind, body and soul are nurtured. Mindful of the 85 year tradition of academic excellence they are moving forward in new ways of learning.

Our teachers are able to speak freely of Jesus Christ. It is a great gift to fully incorporate faith life with a child’s learning environment. The teacher collaborates with parents, the child’s first teachers, to instill faith, virtue and discipline. As a Catholic school, we proclaim that we are created by God, for God and everything we do is part of our journey back to God. At Annunciation we provide space and time for the holy, not only in our school chapel and in our beautiful parish church, but each day in every classroom. The social justice teachings of the Catholic Church are an important part of the curriculum.

At the celebration marking the 85th Anniversary of the school many alumni spoke of how they personally benefited from the Catholic education they received at Annunciation School. Each year as we send our eighth graders off to high school, we are confident in their ability to use the gifts and talents that have been developed here. They will benefit from a strong educational foundation and a deepening faith.

I invite you to learn more about this dynamic community of faith and learning.
