Second Annual Mass in Honor of Adoption

Oct 1st, 2015

November 14-15, 2015

With November being National Adoption Month, we at Annunciation wish to honor all our families that have been formed through the adoption process. Each of our Masses the weekend of November 14-15 will be a Mass in Honor of Adoption. All in the Adoptive Triad – Adoptive Parents, Birth Parents, and the Adopted Children – are a celebration of Life!

Parents who have chosen to adopt children have heard God’s call in a very special way, a call we each receive, “to care for widows and orphans.” (James 1:27) It is fitting that we take time to recognize and honor our families formed through adoption while we also remember that in our life with God, we are all adopted sons and daughters. We have all been chosen before the foundation of the world. In love God the Father has destined us for adoption to himself through Christ Jesus. (Based on Eph. 1: 4-5)

If you are an adoptive family, or if you yourself were adopted, we invite your help! We are looking for families to present the Gifts at Mass, Lectors, Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, and people who want to speak about the blessings they have experienced through adoption. Please contact Sr. Sue.
