Dancing with Annunciation Stars

We are only week away from DWAS at Annunciation School! The event next Saturday, October 10. Students had a “sneak peek” at a rehearsal performance today and I can promise you a fantastic show!  If you have not had a chance to check out the Dancing with Annunciation Stars event, I invite you to do so. Take a look – it is fun and exciting to see! Thanks to the parents and staff who have worked diligently in preparation for this fun event. It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled evening!

Early Dismissal Day

Reminder – our first early dismissal day will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 AT 1:00.  Teachers will be attending learning workshops on IB and technology. We are excited to add these learning sessions for the staff this year.

Students will be dismissed in the same process as usuall. Also, extended day will be available for those who need this extended care.  Other early dismissal workshop days are: November 4, February 3. March 2.

MAP Testing in October

Last year was our first year with a new assessment tool.  The NWEA Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) test was chosen as the tool for students in grades K-8. The Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) creates a personalized assessment experience by adapting to each student’s learning level.

We look forward to partnering with our parents to help each student achieve at their highest level. These tools, along with our conference time, will help us as we continue to strive to meet each student’s learning needs and help them reach their fullest potential.

To help support your children as testing begins, check out the parent toolkit. Look for testing dates and follow up information to come. To learn more, visit https://www.nwea.org.
