National Math Enrichment Contest

On Thursday, April 9th, 35 students in grades 2- 5 represented Annunciation in the National Math Enrichment Contest. Contestants were given 45 minutest to solve 20 CHALLENGING math word problems.  Tests were completed independently using only paper and pencil. 

The National Math Contest is a problem solving contest. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.  This year over 25, 000 students nationwide participated in the contest.

Results will be available in approximately 2-3 weeks. 

  • The top 10% of all participants in each grade nationwide will receive ‘National Honors’ medals.
  • The highest scorer of each grade level will receive a ‘Team Leader’ medal. 
  • The top 50% of all participants nationwide will receive ‘Honorable Mention’  recognition.
