8th grade Baby Pictures

Parents of 8th grade students- We are collecting baby pictures for the yearbook. Your 8th grader will have their baby picture in the yearbook. They will also share what school they will be attending next year and information about themselves.

If you could turn in a digital picture to Erin McBurney by April 13th that will give us enough time to submit all of them to the yearbook for print.

Grade 8 Profiles

8th grade parents should have received a permission form about featuring grade 8 profiles in the upcoming Weekenders. Your child will need to return that slip with permission from you that their information and photo can be shared in the Weekender. Here is a link for it:

NWEA MAP Testing

We will complete MAP testing in April. The testing dates will begin April 27th. The students will participate in the test similar to what they did in the fall. Teachers are taking these scores and using them to determine placement next year (6th and 7th graders) as well as determine curriculum needs for the students to impact instruction.

Earth Day Service Project

The Middle School would like to invite students to participate in an Earth Day Service Project this year. On April 22nd, we are inviting students to walk or bike to school. We will have Ambassadors and Student Council members outside to help facilitate this. Look for more information to come with specific details in the near future.

Trimester II Honor Roll

We had 24 6th graders, 26 7th graders, and 27 8th graders for a grand total of 77 students on honor roll. This means we had over 57% of our middle school students on honor roll, WOW! View Trimester 2 Honor Roll.

Please take a moment to review your child’s uniform. Take a look at the shirts, pants, and skorts your child wears and ensure they are in good condition and appropriate length. Thank you for your attention to this.

If you child is participating in Improv this year, you should have received an information packet.
