Improv 2019

Jan 17th, 2019

Improv is an after-school class which is open to all Annunciation seventh and eighth graders.  This year it will be taught by Creative Arts teacher Lorissa Letwin and Sandy Nesvig. We teach movement, voice, acting, improvisation, etc. More importantly, we try to convey the importance of creativity, teamwork, self-confidence, trust and dedication to hard work. This class requires a commitment of not only time, but of interest and a behavior policy will be set in place. Commitment and behavior expectations for improv include full participation in activities, the creation of skits, group work, and positive behavior. Students who are unable to live up to these expectations will be asked to leave the program. Please review and discuss these expectations with your child.  If the interest is not there, Improv will not be a positive experience.

Classes will begin on Tuesday, January 29th beginning at 1pm and go until 2:45pm. Please note, this is an early dismissal day.  Initially the class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays and occasionally, with small groups, on Wednesdays. The time for Improv on all other days (beside Jan 29) is 2:45-4:30.

We are asking for a fee of $95.00 from each student.  This fee goes toward covering the costs of conducting the class and producing the show.
Please include the fee with the permission slip and turn in to the office by January 24th.
