Grief Support in Times of Loss: Winter Opportunities in Our Area

Understanding the grief process and the many emotions involved in working through one’s grief can help make the journey less painful. Guest speakers share their own experience and professional knowledge on grief and loss. Weekly meetings include small discussion groups that follow each week’s speaker and are led by trained facilitators. 

1. The Southwest Grief Coalition’s Winter Series’ Living and Growing Through Loss meets at t. Andrew Lutheran Church 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie (standrewlu.org), On Thursday evenings, from now through February 25th, from 5:30 through 7:30. 2. The Edina Coalition for Grief Support meets on Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 6:00PM, at the Church of St. Patrick in Edina. Their winter series is taking place currently and will conclude on Thursday, March 31st. (No meeting on Holy Thursday, March 24th). For further information contact Bonnie Cool at 612-382-6504 

3. The South Minneapolis Coalition for Grief Support is hosting a winter series which is currently taking place on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, in the school building at St. Thomas the Apostle. For further information contact: Norine Larson, 952-925-2437.
