Congratulations Lizzie, Spelling Bee Champ!

Mar 3rd, 2016

You may recall that back in November, after 31 amazing rounds, 7th Grader, Lizzie N, clinched the Annunciation Spelling Bee. Lizzie earned the title of Spelling Bee Champion after correctly spelling her thirty-second word - immunity.
Here are just some of the words that were spelled correctly during our Annunciation Spelling Bee: modular, hypnotic, migraine, pinnacle, latency, pathogen, iambic, mawkish, evanescent, shoji, cozen, inimical, soiree, turpitude, entirety, and tungsten

School Bee Champions across the state took an online semifinal qualifying test in February.  The results of the semifinal competition are in and...Lizzie is one of forty-nine spellers who has qualified for the Minnesota Public Radio Regional Spelling Bee on March 20, 2016 at The Fitzgerald Theater.

The champion of the MPR Regional Spelling Bee and one parent will win an expenses-paid trip to the Washington, D.C. area to compete in the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Congratulations and best wishes Lizzie.  Your Annunciation family will be rooting for you!
