Caring for God’s Creation & the Poor
“Creation is a gift, it is a wonderful gift that God has given us, so that we care for it and we use it for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude.” ~Pope Francis

Stewardship Tip
Care for God's Creation.  The seventh theme of our Catholic Social Teaching, according to the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops), is Care for God’s Creation.

“We show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. Care for the earth is not just an Earth Day slogan, it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions that cannot be ignored.”

Earth day is April 22, and at Annunciation we are celebrating it at this weekend’s Masses along with a Blessing of our Bikes (& Feet) after the 10:30AM Mass.  This is a good time for us all to reflect on how we are treating our Earth…and to start some better Earth-healthy habits!
