Caring for God’s Creation & the Poor:

“Every human being, man, woman, boy and girl, is made in God’s image. God is the love and freedom that is given in interpersonal relationships, and every human being is a free person destined to live for the good of others in equality and fraternity.” ~Pope Francis

There are two new apps available to help combat Human Trafficking.

1) The first app “Understanding Human Trafficking, Striving for Justice” (UHT) “introduces teens to survivors and activists working to abolish this unspeakable crime. The app alerts young people to the warning signs of human trafficking and what to do if they encounter them. It engages students through active discovery and exploration, and builds awareness of the frightening realities of human trafficking.” It is $5.99 on the app store.

Visit www.smp.org/humantrafficking for more info.

2) The second app “TraffickCam” (EI) enables us to combat sex trafficking by uploading photos of the hotel rooms we stay in when we travel. “Traffickers regularly post photographs of their victims posed in hotel rooms for online advertisements. These photographs are evidence that can be used to find and prosecute the perpetrators of these crimes. The purpose of TraffickCam is to create a database of hotel room images that an investigator can efficiently search, in order to find other images that were taken in the same location as an image that is part of an investigation.”

It is FREE in the App store: http://www.traffickcam.com/about
