Dear Junior High Parents,

Our summer programming is called “SUMMER HOOPLA”. It is recreationally based and our primary goal is to build relationships with junior high youth. We have been very blessed and have a 92% participation factor over the summer when most families leave on summer vacations, family reunions and trips to the cabin. We have been successful this summer because of our incredible peer ministry team and adult leaders. Peer minister’s are junior or seniors in high school who step forward for a leadership at AYM, and they are very important part of our ministry.

As we approach the transition from summer to fall we are hopeful to maintain and grow the junior high youth involvement in AYM. The school year programming is service and faith based and builds on the relationships we have developed over the summer. Junior high years can be difficult and awkward with complex friendships; puberty and more demanding school work. That is why the need for an accepting, safe, fun, challenging and faith exploration environment is so important and appealing to youth. I would like to acquaint you with our school year programming and answer any questions you may have about AYM.

Peace in Christ,

Jimmy Dunn
